Using Inlace
Instructor: Betsey Sloan Level: Intermediate Students: 12 Fee: $59
Description: Students will first learn to grind and polish a pre-dried inlace design. Them they will woodburn the chief design onto the gourd provided, power carve the areas to accept the inlace resin, and mix/insert the material. The final polishing and coloring of the gourd will be done later at the student’s discretion. Students must bring: dusk mask, safety glasses, power carver, and small ball bits. Extension cord, wood burner and tips, and sharp pencil.
