July 15, 2008 Dear Workshop Teachers, Plans are now underway for our 11th Annual Florida Gourd Show to be held at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in East Palatka, FL on February 27-March 1, 2009. This year’s festival theme will be “Gourding’ to the Finish.” It is time for all of you to start thinking about what you want to teach at the 2009 official Florida Gourd Show. We are now accepting applications from anyone wishing to teach a gourd workshop at the 2009 Annual Florida Gourd Show. We are looking for new and exciting classes. We have space for 40 classes. As at the 2008 show, we will do our very best to keep you in the same classroom through the show to make your work a little easier, bring all your stuff for all your classes in at once, then relax. Workshop teachers are asked to provide their own electrical cords / power strips if needed. Also consider offering workshop handouts or patterns with the workshop instructions. This is not a requirement, but it is recommended. We will also be providing class lists, nametags, etc. like this year to assist you in your classes. As in 2008, FGSI will be adding $7.00 per student for the classes. Please have your application to me by September 1, 2008. This is a firm deadline. Please submit applications to: or or mail to: Rachel Johnson, Workshop Chair 266 Circle Dr. E. St Augustine , FL 32084 We appreciate your hard work every year and your mass talent and look forward to seeing each and every one of you. With your support we can make this a great event! Thank you for your participation in our 2008 Show. Rachel Johnson Workshop Chairperson
