Dear Workshop Teachers,
Plans are now underway for our 12th Annual Florida Gourd Show to be held at the Putnam County Fairgrounds in East Palatka, FL on February 26-February 28, 2010. This year’s festival theme will be "Gourdin Sarafi – African Style."
It is time for all of you to start thinking about what you want to teach at the 2010 official Florida Gourd Show. We are now accepting applications from anyone wishing to teach a gourd workshop at the 2010 Annual Florida Gourd Show. We are looking for new and exciting classes.
We have space for 40 classes. As at the 2009 show, we will do our very best to keep you in the same classroom through the show to make your work a little easier, bring all your stuff for all your classes in at once, then relax.
Workshop teachers are asked to provide their own electrical cords / power strips, extra lighting if needed. Also consider offering workshop handouts or patterns with the workshop instructions. This is not a requirement, but it is recommended.
We will also be providing class lists, nametags, etc. like this year to assist you in your classes. As in 2009, FGSI will be adding $5.00 per student for the classes for members and $10 for non-members.
Please have your application to me by September 1, 2009. This is a firm deadline.
Please note beginning this year you may not get your check for your classes until AFTER the show in order to allow our officer to be able to ENJOY the show. If this should cause a hardship, please contact me immediately.
Please submit applications to:
